Hurricane Harvey Relief
In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in 2017, PCBC sent a team to the Houston area. The team prayed with people at gas stations, gave away dolls and watches, helped people at Wal-Mart, and did many hours of disaster relief at a church that was ravaged by the resulting floods.
Spring Break Trip
March 18-23, 2018 • $75
New York City
October 17-22, 2018 • $650
In 2017, we did a host of mission work in New York City. We worked with a church passing out food for it's food ministry. We also cooked a meal and served lunch to the homeless and attended a little service while there. We prepared and served a meal for ladies at a ladies shelter. This was a humbling experiencing. Some of these ladies had children. They were very appreciative of our service but most importantly our visit with them. We handed out necklaces to them and shared a story that God can take what we consider 'junk' and turn it into something beautiful. We met with our partner church, NewCity Church, and their pastor, Patrick Thompson, and heard how God was moving in the church. We attended their Sunday morning worship. We did a lot of prayer walking around the city. We visited with our other partner church, Connection Church and learned how God was moving in their community. We attended their evening service and really enjoyed it. We did some subway evangelism which is simply visiting with people while we were on the subway going from on place to another. We handed out necklaces and simply told people that God loved them. We had time for some site seeing and personal time to reflect on our mission.
