Other people don’t truly understand how tough it is to be a single parent—day after day after day. Sometimes you want to give up. And that’s a normal reaction—you’re doing the job of two people. You should be tired. The thing is, you deeply desire to do what’s best for your kids, but you worry that you can’t. Sometimes it’s all you can do to survive from one day to the next. So what can you do? At PCBC, we care about you!

GRASP DAY Saturday, April 28, 2018
Free Event for Single Parents & Kids
GRASP Day is a special day to Grow, Reach & Assist Single Parents. Many vendors will be available with information to assist Single Parents in many areas such as budgeting, counseling, low-cost activities for kids, home safety and repair, car repair, after-school tutoring and much more. The kids will enjoy inflatables, crafts, fire trucks and Police K-9’s. We will also provide a FREE LUNCH for the whole family!
Check your child (ages 2-5) into the fun area. While they have fun, you can enjoy special short talks geared toward single parenting!
These talks will feature:
• Keeping your kids safe from drugs by Mark Woodward of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics
• Advice on career training and how to get grants/loans to cover your education presented by Francis Tuttle
• “What a Daughter Needs from a Dad” and “What a Son Needs from a Mom”
Several door prizes will be given away – you don’t want to miss this day!
