What does the PCBC Weekday program look like?

We serve families of infants through preschool age children by providing high quality, developmentally appropriate Early Childhood classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. These classes are lovingly taught by carefully screened, experienced teachers who love preschoolers. Our students will experience learning through play in a Christian Education setting.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered, developmentally appropriate environment for preschool children to grow and learn. Our prayer is that the Lord would send families of preschoolers to PCBC, and that these families would be reached with the GOSPEL and find in PCBC a church home, where each family member might KNOW GOD, BECOME FAMILY, and IMPACT THE WORLD.

Our Vision

We will create a community where all children feel valued, loved, and accepted. PCBC WEEKDAY PRESCHOOL will be a happy place, where each child will be encouraged to grow physically, intellectually, and emotionally. We will lay the foundations of the truth of God’s word, planting seeds of faith in each child’s heart. We desire to be recognized in our community for providing excellent care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Brightwheel is our online communication and payment portal. The Weekday School teachers use Brightwheel to post updates and pictures from the day, as well to message parents individually as needed. The administration uses Brightwheel for school-wide communication and as an online payment portal for tuition and fee charges.

FAQ’s

What do we need to bring daily to school?

You will need to bring a water cup, nap mat, cold lunch (we are not able to heat lunches for children), diapers and change of clothes. Please make sure all of your child’s belongings are labeled with their name.

What is the student to teacher ratio?

All classrooms have two teachers at all times for their set amount of children. Number of students varies depending on the age of the room.

Does my child need to be potty-trained in order to attend?

It is our expectation that children aged 3.5 years and older should be well on their way to independent toileting. In order to enroll in our Pre-Kindergarten class, children must be fully independent with toileting needs.

Are vaccinations required?

We do not require proof of vaccinations.

What Curriculum do you use?

Our teachers make lesson plans following the Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines for Children according to their students’ ages.

What should we expect at check in and check out?

We use the Brightwheel app. You will need to have that app downloaded on your phone, so that you can scan the check in/out barcode each morning at drop off and afternoon for pick-up.

Are birthday treats allowed?

You may bring birthday treats for your child’s special day. We do ask that they be nut free and store bought.

When should a child stay home due to sickness?

Your child should be SYMPTOM FREE for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
