What We Believe

We believe there is one living and true God who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is a personal God who created all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, righteousness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, mercy, and grace. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We believe God as Father is the first person of the Trinity. He reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of human history according to the purposes of His grace.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became man without ceasing to be God. Jesus is fully man and fully God. He was born of the Virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and was raised to life on the third day.

We believe The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, fully divine. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He calls men to the Savior. At the moment of salvation He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and gives spiritual gifts by which believers serve God through His church. He is the seal of every believer and guarantees that they will have eternal life with God.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without any error in the original writings, the supreme and final authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. We believe that God has made Himself known through His revelation of the Bible.

We believe that God created mankind in the image and likeness of God. God created them male and female. We believe man was created innocent, but that the first man, Adam, sinned bringing both physical and spiritual death to himself and the rest of humanity.

We believe that because of sin, every human is separated from God and needs to be reconciled to God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. His righteousness is freely given to those who make a conscious and personal decision to trust in Christ as Savior. We believe man is justified by grace through faith apart from works. We believe all true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Jesus Christ forever.

We believe that Jesus is coming back. We believe that His bodily return to the earth is imminent. He will return for His church rewarding His followers with eternal life, but He will judge the living and the dead, condemning those who reject Him.

We believe marriage is a biblical institution established by God as clearly described in the Bible. The Bible defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union and a covenant commitment for a lifetime. The church recognizes only this Biblical definition of marriage. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other.
